M. Sueno is an upsurging anthropological collage street artist. “When disciplines are joined anything can happen…everything counts”, says the artist whose practice mixes photography, visual anthropology and urban intervention. Re-appropriating from his home region’s rich cultural context in Peru, Sueno began using images taken from popular and native culture, often reprocessing their intention towards something newly authentic, forcing a social and political dialogue. Presently, Sueno has finalized a mural accompanied by a series of interventions in the jungle city of Iquitos, a project connoted to his presentation in Bogota, Colombia, in an Urban Art Event called “Memoria Canalla”.
