Creative Fields: Wheat paste, paint, drawing
Location: Atlanta, GA
Atlanta street artists Paper Twins met while making coffee. Through a mutual love for Os Mutantes, Manu Chao, french films, and river dancing, they adopted the names Nica and Edgar A. English and began making art together. The summer of 2009 – a heady time of Trader Joe’s wine, tree climbing, and riding bikes – saw the beginning of their wheat pasting campaign across Atlanta. They have since been featured in several galleries, including their show at MINT Gallery with Sam Parker and Joe Tsambiras, Here We Hide, which won the 2010 Creative Loafing Reader’s Picks for Best Opening and Best Gallery Show. They continue to make art and coffee together, and (in their words) still suck at latte art.
